NZSL
Sign class was cool!
I know quite a few of the people from my last course and then I know some more of the people from being good friends with them. And we went out to Deaf Club as well (after an unfortunate incident with a car not starting and some keys being "lost") and saw some short films made by Deaf people in NZ.
I hope to be able to stalk some more Deaf people down to be able to practice and get the hang of more styles of signing.
I still think it'd be cool to go study in Auckland to become a NZSL interpreter but it's a bit far away and I haven't done enough learning yet to be able to start anyway.
My brain gets tired and gives up translating and remembering for me quite quickly so it's a bit difficult to be able to have a conversation - especially when I only understand half of what the other person is saying which is nothing compared to attempting to construct a half-intelligble reply.
I'm not exactly sure why I like learning languages so much (even though I give up when it gets slightly difficult) but I just seem to gravitate towards it and even seek out different people to talk to and languages to learn with no more basis than "I think it'd be cool."
I shall have to think more about my strange fascination with being able to communicate in different fashions.
Weird notes to me for the whole world to see.
